8 years agoCAT is conducted for admissions into IIMs but most of the colleges in India accept CAT score for admissions. Apart from CAT you can go for XAT, CMAT, CETs and other exams conducted by few colleges like SNAP, NMAT, etc.
Please note that no good college will grant an admission without an entrance test. -
CAT exam is compulsory only for IIMs even other premier institutes accept the score of cat. Other colleges also accept exams like CMAT, CET, XAT etc
-
CAT is compulsory for IIMs and some other A grade colleges also consider CAT score. But for XLRI you need to give XAT and there are other decent colleges which take admissions on MAT and CMAT scores too.
