GIBS Bangalore is more affordable compared to IIBS. The total fees at GIBS are lower, making it a good option for students who want quality education without spending too much. You still get good learning, campus life, and opportunities for growth while keeping the cost reasonable. One of the best college in terms of placements and ROI.

Between GIBS Bangalore and IIBS Bangalore, I'd say GIBS feels more value-for-money. It's not just about fees — the kind of exposure, practical learning, and placement support GIBS offers really make it worth it. The environment is very student-focused, and you actually get to learn from real industry experts.

Even if both colleges are somewhat close in terms of expenses, GIBS gives better returns through its overall learning experience, campus life, and opportunities.

As a student, I feel GIBS Bangalore is actually more affordable than IIBS. The total fees at GIBS for BBA, including hostel, is very affordable than IIBS. But it's not just about cost—GIBS gives you a lot more value with practical learning, personality development, and good placements. So, you end up paying less and getting more. That's why I chose GIBS, and I'm honestly happy with the decision.

GIBS Bangalore and the International Institute of Business Studies (IIBS) have similar fee structures for their management programs, with both charging around 9 Lacs for the full course. However, GIBS includes many value-added programs like the Finishing School, Innovation Lab, and other training activities within the main fee. There is also an optional international trip at GIBS. On the other hand, IIBS charges similar tuition but may add separate fees for some services. So overall, both are close in cost, but GIBS offers more in terms of overall value, learning experience, and student development.

Most common reasons why someone gets rejected during GIBS admission rounds:

  • Incomplete application — like missing documents, wrong details, or not uploading everything properly.

  • Very low entrance exam scores — GIBS is flexible, but they still expect a basic score to consider you.

  • Poor communication during GD/PI — if the candidate isn't able to express themselves clearly or has no clarity about why they want to join.

  • No seriousness or preparation — some people come without knowing anything about the course or the college, which doesn't look good.

  • Weak SOP — if the SOP looks copied or doesn't show the student's real interest or goal

GIBS MBA/PGDM admission process is honestly very simple and smooth. It basically goes like this:

  1. Apply online – Just fill the GIBS application form with your basic details.

  2. Upload your documents – Your marks cards, ID proof, entrance score… all the basic stuff.

  3. Submit your SOP – A small write-up about why you want to join GIBS. Nothing too complicated.

  4. Group Discussion (GD) – A short, friendly discussion with other applicants. They mainly check how you talk and think.

  5. Personal Interview (PI) – One-on-one chat with faculty. Very relaxed, they just try to understand you as a person.

  6. Selection result – You get your admission statu

At GIBS, honestly most of the companies that come for placements are MNCs — easily around 70–80%. That's something I personally like because you get exposure to big brands and proper corporate culture.

Some of the common names we keep hearing on campus are like IBM, Deloitte, Accenture, Byju's, Wipro, Amazon, HDFC Bank, Wells Fargo, and many more.

So yeah, the placement scene at GIBS is pretty solid, and the mix of MNCs gives students a lot of options to explore.
