    no it is not if u r preparing for engg.
    try iit jee and if not selected then go for reputed private institutes.

    I think you can study any course and prepare for your competitive exam. that would be better :)

    Its according to your own will if your only dream is to crack the Entrance. Wasting a single year is not much harmful if you want your dream to come true.

    taking a drop of 1 year is full of risks but on the other hand .u may get that trick to pass the comp exams
