Is it better to do BCA and MCA rather than B.Tech these days?
I want to pursue a course related to computer science.

The basic thumb rule is that you should do a thing if it adds value to you and your profile. And for a degree to add value to you, it should belong to a reputed institute. Today we hear about engineers remaining jobless. But these engineers are jobless because they did their engineering from a poor or average institute. The same scenario will be applicable everywhere. If you do MBA also from a low grade college, it won't be helpful. If in general you compare MCA with B.Tech, definitely B.Tech is a much more valued degree if done from a good institute. Same applies for any other degree. Choose your college and stream wisely. Best of luc...more

Engineering is always and will remain upper hand than BCA or MCA. B.Tech engineer can apply for MCA jobs, whereas MCA cannot apply where ever engineering is the eligibility.

Short term B.Tech is better with excellent knowledge development in various computer areas.
