A degree doesn't matter if anyone is talented and the best idea about this is that he or she can do anything which they want to. In B.Tech, they learn about this but many learners learn just by seeing others or via Google. The special thing about web development is that pretty much all the learning materials you ever need is available online that too for free, there's nothing you can't learn on your own without going through 4-years of college and getting a CS degree. But getting a CS degree won't hurt, especially when you're not sure what to do or lack the skill set to land a programmer job. When it comes to getting a job as a web dev

No, it's not necessary to do that but B.Tech or BE is preferred because a web developer needs skills and talent. You can pursue any course and learn web development. But if you are passionate about web development then you should opt for course which is specialized in the same. You may join Bachelor of computer applications (BCA) as well. However, B.Tech will be best for you. Again you can take any branch. I have seen mechanical engineering students doing web development better than many computer science engineering graduates.
Computer science and engineering and information technology will be ideal branches for you. The course is desig

To become a web developer you should go for a degree course.
For web development, there are various courses related and various institutions teaching web development program. B.Tech degree nowadays is a mode of spending four years in a college and then getting a job at last.
The so called placement drives is all what students get at last though passionate and hardworking people can get into any of the big companies by proving themselves worth more than the degree holder undergrads.
Most of the big companies such as Microsoft and Google have said that they seek talents rather than degree holders.
Branches one can opt are computer science

    Hi,
Any engineering branches will help you to get a job in a good company after considering your web development skill. It's not mandate to go for only CS or IT but if someone has done in Mechanical and Civil they can establish career in web development as well. But it depends the level of skill you have. It's a fact in your engineering the knowledge you get on web development its very limited and you will be oblivious in practical production environment. I would suggest whatever the engineering background you have you need to have a separate Web development course from outside e.g. Individual professional or institute.
    Besides, I know m

To become a web developer, you should ideally be targeting Computer Science/IT as far as engineering is concerned or BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications). Good luck!
