But if you can't make it through campus placements then you will have to do really well in GATE which is not that easy for all. Hi,
Yes, it is said to be one of the toughest branches in engineering as compared to others. Suitability for girls will totally depend on the kind of girl you are. There can't be one answer to this question. So, here is my view:
Difficulty of branch depends on your interest in the subjects and your strengths and weaknesses.
So, if you are passionate about machines and their working you may find mechanical interesting but if you hate these subjects from start you are ought to find these subjects difficult.
Other than that, mechanical also requires high level maths like Differential Equations and Calculus for many subjects. So, if you are bad at maths again, you might feel it as difficult.
But in general, most of the branches are of the same difficulty level with ECE and Mechanical being a bit more tha...more -
With mechanical engineering, you need to be able to accurately predict exactly what is going to happen, along with how. Depending on where you get this degree, there will be a lot of memorization of well established mathematic rules and the like developed over the last couple of centuries. If you have difficulty memorizing difficult equations and other information, mechanical may be the hardest of them.
Electrical and Computer Engineering are very, very similar for over half of the degrees. The hardest part of this overlapping portion is the fact that the math gets non linear and works in ways that is very dissimilar to what most people...more

USCIS grants work permits to international students who graduated from US university with MS or in engineering, math, etc. Work permit after MS in Mechanical Engineering is long-term visa allowing holder to live and work in USA. It can be obtained by applying for H1B visa. F1 student visa allows students to work for 1 year. OPT gives 1 year employment and stay back permission to international students who finish degree programme in US.
A person belonging to India and wanting to work in USA should look for job in the United States after completing an Engineering degree from India. Side by side, these people need to look for those employer who can sponsor a H1B visa to them.
