1) GMAT is an international standardized test that one has to take if he/she is applying for international admission for MBA and management related courses at masters level. If you are applying for a MBA, or masters in management or masters in marketing or any management related field, you will be required to take the GMAT.
GMAT does not help one excel his/her career. It just helps getting admission in a good university which would help one in boosting his/her career.
