-Adding to MSK's advice,first of all, relax.Secondly, requesting you to refrain from assuming anything.Instead of thinking about the gap of 1.5 years ,think how you can fill this gap and move forward in life.Thirdly, you should be happy that you have a qualification that can fetch you a job.
-You can start up by posting your updated CV on job portals, search and apply for a job,revise a few key concepts that you learnt during your PGDM,present yourself confidently,speak clearly and if asked by the interviewer, try to give a reasonable explanation for the 1.5 years of gap.
-Before pursuing a short term course,it is advisable that you identify an interest area such as a specilization in Organization Development, Training & Development, Competency Mapping, Compensation structures etc.
After gaining few years of work experience instead of short term course, it is advisable to opt for advance courses such as:
Professional in Human Resources (PHR)
Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)
Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR)
