Hi Anushka,
Its little bit difficult to say anythnig about VIT because last year around 4,720 students are offered admissions at VIT University ,Vellore and Chennai.
Out of this number, 3600 seats were offered to students at VIT Vellore and the remaining 1,120 at VIT Chennai but only the first 20,000 rank holders are called for counselling.
All major branches like CS, EC, EE are likely to close at 9,000 in main campus and 15,000 in chennai campus

No, you have least chance to get into vit university with that rank.
2nd counselling can be defined as, if some one who got selected is not willing to continue with vit then those seats will be allocated to those who are with better ranks in the remaining people

Dear Pavithra,
on the basis of this year jee main paper analysis, and last year cutoffs you can expect a AIR rank above 100000+.(boards marks not included)
-with 74 marks in gen cat you will get chance in 2nd or 3rd round counselling but you will not get core branches like mechanical ,ECE,EEE,CSE.
You will also get chance in spot round.

Dear Abhishek,
On the basis of this year JEE (Main) paper analysis and last year cut offs , and also including the weightage of your 10+2 marks you can expect a AIR rank above 150000+
-with these marks if you belongs to gen cat. then you have to wait till jee result , then its clear you are eligible for counselling or not.
If you belongs to SC,ST you are eligible.
-with these marks you may get chance in
