Hi Ankit, with the marks you have given you can get good NITs like NITw, NITT, NITK. But DCE would be tough if you are a non delhi student.
First of all, NITs are better than DCE and NITs are solely govt. colleges also. Now you might be thinking that why then you can't get DCE and easily get NITs with the these marks. The reason is that almost 90% students are of Delhi. Those students do not want to go to south for almost same college plus they have reservation plus they don't have to travel!
So, you must give preference to NITs as they are inexpensive. If you would look at the infrastructure of DCE and NITW, you will definitely agree that NITW has better. Also NITs have better placements records than DCE.
By the way I was also in dilemma for choosing b/w NITs and DCE. I went for NITs (warangal)
