For becoming a lawyer, you have to appear in CLAT entrance exam which will decide the admission in general. At least you need to have cleared Higher Secondary School/Intermediate Examination (10+2) in any stream as well as graduation level with minimum 50 per cent marks in aggregate. In general, you can apply for the LLB degree after completion of graduation.
After completion of course, you can proceed as Public Prosecutor or offer legal services in government departments as well as ministries. You can take up a job of a legal adviser in various organizations like MNCs. You can also work as a teacher and work with NGOs and even anchor television channels based on legal issues. For all above candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and adequate proficiency in English.
For JEE Mains (NITs) above is sufficient.
To give JEE Advance candidate should qualify mains round and for admissions you should be in Top 20 percentile in your respective board examination. i.e top 20% students from each board.
For BITSAT The candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (if he/she has taken Mathematics in BITSAT) or a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BITSAT) subjects in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics / Biology subjects.
