Students after 12th normally take Marine Engineering courses after clearing the The All India Merchant Navy Entrance Test (AIMNET). If you are not interested to pursue engineering you may pursue B.Sc in Nautical Technology or the 1 year Pre-Sea Diploma in Nautical Science which again leads to the B.Sc in Nautical Sciences. Hope this helps.
