Hi Ashish,
Most colleges have a different provision for admission. You need to contact the institute officials personally for specific admission details as it differs from one college to another.
To get admission in B.Arch, you need to score minimum 50% marks in 12th with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Computer Science / Chemistry / Biology / Engineering Drawing and two other subjects. You need to sit for an entrance exam.

Electrical is a good branch too. the scope is good wrt government jobs.
but, comparatively mechanical engineering have more scope both in govt sector as well as in private sector.
also, the competition is less in mechanical as compared to that with electrical.

Some college give you liberty to change your branch in second year based on your score in first year. so, if you score good marks in first year, would will be able to change your branch to mechanical in second year.
but make sure you ask your college about it first.

If you are a punjab student and from a rural quota than it would be near 3lakh , 4 lakh and if you will get a good rank that is between 50k to 80k than you would also be able to get admission in fee wavier where the fees is very less. If from urban category it would be near 1.5 to 2 lakhs. These all rank are regarding with the open counsellinf of the college not the university.

Hi Shreya, It's good to know that you are concerned about your future and have built your aspirations in Engineering.
The JEE mains or any other engineering entrance exams revolves around the concepts you learn in class 11 and 12. So, I would suggest you to strengthen your basics in those subjects and score good marks in your 12th standard.
Alongside, you can start solving previous years question papers for different engineering entrance exams and model test papers as well. Also, do focus on how quickly can you solve numericals in exams, because, time plays the most crucial role in entrance exams.
