As GATE is an Exam that tests fundamentals and is more focused on a particular stream (the stream in which you want to pursue your M.Tech) there is no one set pattern of preparation that you can follow. So, the only suggestion which I can give you is to work on the fundamentals of your chosen stream and consider your own subject books for preparation.

No you not need to give any entrance test for PG programs in Medicine from Germany however TOEFL may required if program taught in English language. Do let me know in which particular field you want to do PG?
