Hi Kanika,
Although, both the courses are specialized courses and would offer you a bright future but the field you choose would largely depend on the field or stream you feel you are passionate about or want to make a career in.
You should opt for BBA only if you are a hard core management person with skills like decision making, logical and analytical abilities & entrepreneurial skills, on the other hand BCA is an option, which is for those people who have a strong technical skills and have a passion for computers, one benefit which I can see in choosing BCA is that it opens both the streams for you at post graduation level you can opt for MBA or MCA whereas, If you do BBA you can only opt for MBA as your post graduation.
However, I have tried to brief you about merits and demerits of both the programmes but at the end it would be your own decision, ponder on all the facts and then take your call.

As you are an engineering graduate but willing to take up a career in the field of Law, here I would suggest you to take up LL.B after the completion of your graduation as the minimum requirement to be eligible is a graduate degree from a valid and recognized University.

This field is for people who have decision making, logical and analytical abilities & entrepreneurial skills.
Marketing as well as Finance both are in demand fields and offer bright future but it would largely depend on your individual interests and career aspirations that which field you choose. Marketing which masters you over certain functions like market research, sales & distribution, and product or brand management is generally good for People with good communication skills, leadership qualities whereas, Finance which is about hard core accounts is a career for people generally interested in quantitative skills and who would like to do a lot of planning, managing of resources etc.

As shiksha is an Education portal which believes in giving unbiased guidance it would be unfair on our part to give our personal opinion or judgment about any two specific Institutes. However, IBS Kolkata is an autonomous Institute whereas IEM MBA is AICTE approved.
However, for in depth information I would suggest you to visit these institutes and try and talk to the current batch students and get few of the alumnae contacts as well. This will give you a real picture about the institute. As far as the placements are concerned no institute can guarantee placement, moreover, more than the institute the placements depends on your performance on the program, your capabilities and how you use the knowledge earned at the time of job placements.
