Admission to B.Tech programmes is made on the basis of-
1. Merit in consolidated merit list with 60% weightage of JEE (Main) 2013 and 40% weightage of aggregate marks in qualifying examinations
2. Merit in Qualifying Exam (In case seats remain vacant after exhausting preference no. 1) The minimum eligibility criteria is- Pass in 10+2 examination with at least 65% marks (55% marks in 2nd Shift) in aggregate in 5 subjects including Physics, mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: a) Chemistry b) Bio Technology c) Computer Science d) Biology, from recognized Board/University.

Placements are very good. Zee news Survey has rated LPU as 11th best in India in terms of placement. Recently region's one of the largest job fairs was conducted for two days in LPU where more than 50 companies participated. As for fee of B.Tech first semester it is 74,500 per semester and if you have 70% or more marks in +2 then you can get a scholarship according to your percentage in +2. In case it is less than 70% then you can give the financial aid test and get financial assistance from the university. There is another scheme going on in the university i.e EDB where if you will take admission befor 31st May 2013 then after giving a test and clearing it you can join the course for 69,500 per semester which is fee structure for 2012 and will be this through out your degree.
