Admission to B.Tech programmes is made on the basis of-
1. Merit in consolidated merit list with 60% weightage of JEE (Main) 2013 and 40% weightage of aggregate marks in qualifying examinations
2. Merit in Qualifying Exam (In case seats remain vacant after exhausting preference no. 1) The minimum eligibility criteria is- Pass in 10+2 examination with at least 65% marks (55% marks in 2nd Shift) in aggregate in 5 subjects including Physics, mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: a) Chemistry b) Bio Technology c) Computer Science d) Biology, from recognized Board/University.

Placements are very good. Zee news Survey has rated LPU as 11th best in India in terms of placement.
