Mechanical engineers invent new products and mainly deals with machines, manufacturing and automobile sector. While in CSE you deal with coading, programming and software developments.So its you who can decide what could be best bet for you. Just study hard and try to get in to any of the reputed engineering college as this is what going to provide you better placement opportunities Try to get in to any of the IITs & NITs and in private ones you can go for colleges like UPES, BITs, VIT, UTM Shillong (for CSE), DTU etc.

In order to secure admission in any of the good institutes, applicant should satisfy certain criteria’s. These vary based on the course applied for and also institute in which the candidate has applied for. This will include both the general criteria’s and academic criteria’s.
Academic Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech Course
The candidate should have completed his 12th standard or higher secondary education. Also both Physics and Chemistry should be amongst the science subjects studied. The candidate should have studied Mathematics too as a subject.
The candidates are required for various entrance exams to secure admission. In many of the entrance exam it is a must that the candidates should have secured at least 60% marks in the above subjects. This varies from exam to exam.
