No, B.ED is not equivalent to Diploma in Elementary Education.
You should apply for B.ED as that is mandatory to be a teacher in schools.

See, now that you have done B.Com. I would suggest that you do M.Com to gain more knowledge in your subjects. Simultaneously you should also give state PSC exams for Govt sector jobs. In between you should give Bank exams to keep your career opportnities open there. MBA is also one of the options but I suggest you keep it at the last, at least after completion of M.Com. If you feel you are good academically then higher qualification would certainly be good.

IGNOU is best for you, Join BPP and after clearing it you will get admission in BA. BPP is a six month bridge course. you can also join NIOS for 10+2 qualify it and will take admission any where in graduation.
