1. Yes it has scope but limited. You can apply for jobs in private as well as government sector. As to get job in the government sector candidates will have to appear and qualify in various competitive exams. You can also apply for various jobs in banking sector for clerical or PO. Some other jobs are CDS, Journalism; different jobs in advertising, accounting jobs in various firms, Air force accounts etc. You can also work as junior associate in different KPO's, international trade firms and so on. Tax audit assistance position is another entry job for B.Com graduates.
2. However, it is advisable to take up higher education as it is always preferable over simple graduates. A master's can give you the edge over the competition in the job market.
Finding a practically-oriented master's programme that can act as a refresher, and even enhancer of your skills and know-how, may be just the thing that you need to make that step back in. So go for it.
