There are a few good colleges for mass comm, some few for journalism and some few forboth. A degree in Mass comm & Journalism is ideal for those looking for more options.
Nancy has listed good ones that are either good in one or the other. For both, I'll go by Nitte University Mangalore, Manipal University Udupi SIMC Pune and perhaps Jamia. Mudra is good only for communication management. Except for Jamia & Nitte others are pretty expensive. Remember no UG/PG course in mass comm or journalism should cost you more than 2 lakh tuition fee. Simply because you are not going to get more than 15,000 to 20,000 per month at your first job. Since you have cleared only 12th, you can also start with UG in one institute and do a PG in another. Best wishes.
