Dear Aman, Both the fields of engineering mentioned above are equally good, mechanical engineering being the mother of all engineering branches would provide you an opportunity to pursue your career in a core field, where as ece is a partially core branch. Moreover, scope for the former branch is comparatively greater (in our country) .

No, its not equivalent to regular mba. Though people say its a one year course but you will receive the certificate only after 2 years. No institutions in India can provide you certificate within a year though you complete the course within a year.

Hi,
Yes you can. Two degrees- one regular while the other correspondence, is valid and acceptable.
However, it is advisable that you consult the respective university/college and also speak to U.G.C officials for the right guidance.
Since you pursuing B.COM (H), I may suggest you for professional course rather than a honor degree program. Options can be-
CA- Chartered Accountancy
CS- Company Secretary
CWA- Cost Accounting
All of these have a promising future. The course contents and functions are somewhat similar. However, they differ in specializations as follows-
1. CA- Accounting, Taxation, Auditing
