There's no limit on how many times you can give the UGC NET exam. As long as you meet the eligibility (like age and qualifications), you can try as many times as you want.

The exam happens twice a year, so if you don't clear it once, no worries, you can try again in the next cycle.

Just remember: You need to meet the eligibility every time you apply. You'll have to pay the application fee each time. Even if you've already cleared the exam before, you can still give it again for the same subject and category.

When the UGC NET notification comes out, it tells you everything about the exam. Like:

When the exam will happen Who can apply (like age, qualifications, etc.)

How to fill the form, fees, and last date

What the exam will look like — how many papers, questions, time, marks

What topics will come — full syllabus

When and how to download the admit card

When the result will come and how to check it

What marks you need to pass (cut-off)

Where the exam will be held (cities)

So whenever the notification is out, just read it properly. It'll help you understand everything before applying.
