As far as I know, you will at least need a minimum of 70% marks or more to pursue engineering. You may apply for class improvement and increase your percentage. Wish you best of luck.

For engineering, VIT-Vellore is better for all the courses and it has excellent placements. For arts and science VIT Vellore is good but I don't have any idea about the placements for those courses.
Stella Maris College is widely preferred for those who scored well in the board exams and for arts and science stream. It is a popular college in Chennai and has a good reputation.
If you want to go for arts and science in Chennai with a moderate fee and good education then prefer Stella Maris College Chennai. VIT Vellore is best for engineering but I have no idea about arts and sciences.

I think admission for the journalism course in DU is based on your class 12th board percentage.
Check once on the website to be sure. If there is an entrance, you just need to fill the form for the exam and appear for it and then wait for the results.
