While there is little overlap between the two careers, they do go hand in hand. A game cant be created without both the designer and programmer working closely together from start to finish.

When you're getting admission in Thapar for such a great course, why go anywhere else? M.E. CAD/CAM Engineering in Thapar is pretty great, and comes with good faculty, good crowd, good curriculum and so on. This is what you really need to make it far ahead in life, especially in this stream. Don't overthink, with Thapar's placements and packages, you should only be choosing Thapar.
All the best!
