Hi Deepak, as per your interest, one has to first possess a Student Pilot License. You must be over 17 years of age and have completed Plus Two with physics and mathematics and register at a flying club which is recognized by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India. Registration requires a medical certificate, security clearance and a bank guarantee.
Next is Private Pilot License (PPL) which includes sixty hours of flying. A Commercial Pilot Licence may be obtained only after a PPL has been acquired. To obtain a Commercial Pilots License (CPL) 250 hours of flying is necessary. With the CPL, a pilot can take up any professional assignment.
And for merchant navy you require PCM in Class 12. In terms of functional hierarchy the officers have 'ratings' working under their supervision in each of the two major departments, i.e., deck and engine room.

Hi Catherine, to guide you I would say that the Medical Council of India (MCI) and the Health Ministry have decided to hold All India Common Entrance Test for MBBS Course in all government run medical colleges, private medical colleges and deemed universities from next academic session.
From 2012, the CBSE will conduct the proposed common medical entrance test for entry to all private and government medical colleges in India.
This All India Common Entrance Test would help MBBS aspirants to prepare and apply for a single Entrance Test rather that sit for over 5 to 6 MBBS entrance exams conducted by different Institutes /States/Universities.
