The "Combined Defense Services" Examination is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, etc.
CDS Educational Qualifications :
1. For I.M.A. and Officers' Training Academy : Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
2. For Indian Naval Academy : Degree in Engineering for CDSE and Degree in Engineering or B.Sc. ( with Physics or Mathematics ) for NCC entry.

SCDL website home pages shows DEC recognition. However tripartite committee of DEC which includes other two bodies i.e. AICTE, UGC takes decision on recognition. Please note that SCDL programs are autonomus. Visit scdl.net for more details.
