Hello,
PGDM is general that is you will choose your stream in second year only. There will also be majr and minor specialisation. MBA-HR is specialised in HR so if you are very much interested in HR you could take MBA-HR asyour passion is important. But in general PGDM is better than MBA-HR as you will have great exposure to all managerial areas.XAT or MAT depends on the institute. Some institute may not accept MAT for that CAT/XAT is essential. For XIME,MAT is accepted. You need minimum 70 percentile in any exam.Feel free to ask more doubts

Hi Usha,
Fees: Around 8.5 lakhs for SIMSR and and 13.5 Lakhs for TAPMI (per two years including hostel)
CAMPUS: SIMSR is part of 100 acre Somaiya Vidyavihar with diversified courses being offered whereas TAPMI has got 45 acre campus. SIMSR has a Mumbai advantage i.e. corporate exposure in the form of frequent live/concurrent projects.
Placements: Average package of 7.8 lpa and highest of 19.5 lpa for SIMSR and Avg of 8.7 lpa and highest of 14.5 lpa for TAPMI.
Numbers show that if you consider ROI, SIMSR would be the best option. But its up to you how you evaluate and check list your preferences. All the Best.
