Certainly, you can go abroad and pursue your engineering. But, you have to meet the admission criteria which in this case is different from college to college. A minimum of 60% is recommended to apply to any decent college. Then, you must also take the IELTS or the TOEFL for the English language proficiency. If you take IELTS then you should aim for a band of 6. If you are taking TOEFL then aim for 100. But, firstly you have to decide where to study and take note of these requirements. You must also check if colleges prefer IELTS over TOEFL and vice versa. In short the admission requirements varies all over therefore you have to first know the requirements and apply subsequently.

BASIC DETAILS ABOUT Diploma IN NAUTICAL Science COURSE
It is a 1 year long Diploma course. The course trains candidates to take on the role of Navigation Officer on Merchant Navy ships. It also covers basics of Marine Technical Knowledge, Safety and Fire Prevention, Communication Skills etc. Some important subjects covered in this course are-

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum educational qualification required to pursue this course is 10+2 Science stream schooling with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. Students should have passed 12th Board examination from a recognised Board. Minimum marks criteria may exist and is generally around 50-60% marks in Board Examination. B.Sc. Degree holders (subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) may also pursue this course. Candidate should be Physically fit as per Merchant Shipping standards to take on sea faring role. Eyesight should be 6/6 on each eye (unaided vision). Candidate should not be suffering from color blindness or night blindness. AGE LIMIT
Candidate should not be more than 25 years of age at the time when the course starts.
