Yeah, ofcourse i also had 179 marks in JEE-main + only 77 % marks in state board and i got NIT CALICUT.
so i think your marks is good enough to get a very good NIT.

You can still write CAT or other entrance examination and apply to other MBA colleges. If you secure good marks, you can get an admission into college of your preference. I know at least two people who have done the same.

Since you haven't scored well in JEE mains so you will not get admission in Government institutes.Although there are private institutions that are doing equally good as them,you may get admission in them by scoring a good rank in their entrance examination and thereafter getting high scholarship.some of these universities are:
