B.Tech is more preferable than B.Sc today because B.Tech in a professional Engineering course and also engineering sector is booming. Although unemployment is there in engineering as well but many companies prefer engineering graduates for different fields. And lots of engineering courses are available in different fields. So you can give preference to engineering. Otherwise go for B.Sc.

CAT exams are more about practice. It is more speed and accuracy than knowledge (unlike JEE). Questions are essentially very easy and if given sufficient time, you will be able to solve all the questions yourself. Hence you should focus more on practice under exam like situations. Post mock tests you should always evaluate what went right and what went wrong. Try to develop an understanding of your strong areas and the weak ones. Improve on weak areas and continue to do well on your strong areas.

Sanyam, with these JEE marks, you won't be getting a good college through JOSAA. Even otherwise too also you won't get a good college.
Try for admission in some good private universities like Lovely, Amity, Manipal, etc where with their own tests they take admission. Clear the test and go for admission.
All these universities have wonderful infrastructure and world-class facilities to offer to students apart from good placements that they offer. Some even offer scholarships.
Good luck.
