There are 5 multi-session papers in GATE: Civil Engineering (CE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Electrical Engineering (EE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC) & Computer Science and Information Technology (CS). More than half of the total candidates appearing for the 23 GATE papers are from these 5 branches alone.
So, if you want the least competition in the sense that there should not be many candidates appearing for the exam then choose any of the other 18 papers. If you want the least competition in the sense that the toughness level of questions is less than expected then I am afraid there is no such paper in GATE matchi

Hi Arjun,
For majority of the universities it's a 'no' if you don't have high academic grades and also you have a 3 year course. You may enroll into a MS program in India and complete the first year to be eligible.

Dear MD Mujaheed,
All the institutes you have mentioned are good private institutes for higher studies. Being alumni of LPU, I would like to say that CSE and Aerospace(Aeronautical is a part of Aerospace) are good branch of engineering.
My cousin's sister is pursuing BTech in Aerospace Engineering at LPU itself and she is in the final year now.
