Hi, Great to learn that that still in XIth yet so career oriented and it's remarkable to say that looking for a career in "Geography" other than Civil.
There are many options and potential careers for geography majors. Geography is a major that teaches students a wide-range of useful skills for the marketplace. Employers value the wide-ranging computer, research, and analytical skills that geography students bring to work as employees. While there aren't many job titles that are "geographer," there are many types of positions that fit well with a degree in geography.
With Geography as one of your desired careers, you can take up your career as a Climatologist or Environmental Management or Forest Management or in case you you tend to build an interest towards writing or research in the same field, you can go ahead with the same by opting for being a Researcher or Free Lancer as even this is a well paid profession.

As every Individual is different with a different thinking process the opinion may vary from person to person. According to me I would say that if possible an individual should always opt for full time degree programme as this not only gives you practical exposure but also make your career path easier by giving you better job opportunities, I would not say that distance learning programme would not fetch you a job but you definitely face problems when your profile is put in comparison with a regular BBA student who will not only have better academic exposure but have extracurricular records as well.
