Although, if you define Information system & information technology it may differ, (IS is a wider term used to create, store, manipulate information & IT, which is a tool to creat systems, forms a part of IS), but if you look at MBA degree program it would be used at a relatively same level that is it would be considered as a degree in Information technology, some B-Schools will call it MBA IT & Some MBA IS. So, I would suggest that you should check the curriculum before enrolling into a program and based on your interests & career aspirations choose the program.
