It will depend on what you want to study or example if you want to pursue engineering you can take JEE, VITEEE, BITSAT, etc. If you want to go into the defence sector some exams include Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test, Indian Navy B.Tech entry scheme, National Defence Academy and Naval Academy examination, etc. Similarly, for pure science, you may consider Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research Exam and National Entrance Screening Test (NEST). There are many options depending on your subject interest.

For getting a seat in any of the NITs in any branch, you must have a rank near 10,000, and to get in aeronautical engineering, I believe that, getting a rank around 9000 would be enough.
