NET examination has basically three papers.
1.Basic aptitude or Research Aptitude.
2.Objective type of your area of Research interest.
3.Subjective type of Your area of Research interest.
You need to prepare for all three papers.
Study materials -as in the question papers of previous years exams will definitely be helpful as you would have an idea of how deep you should study.
