IIM Shilong is expected to be a good place to study but its not the institution but the individuals (student managers) who are responsible for making the degree great. My opinion is that if you are dynamic, ever-learning, ever-evolving, passionate professional then any program is highly beneficial.

Hi Ravi Kant,
In the direct entry scheme you will not have to wait to clear 1st Group of IPCC but you will have to directly start your training. The training of 9 months means the training under a Chartered Accountant which will be included in your 3 years articleship training. You will have to get registered with a practicing CA Firm.
And about 8 months course, it is the self study course and it will be counted from the date of your IPCC registration
