Dinesh, frankly speaking a person in the production department of a company is a user of the programs that you have mentioned. And such programs are quite user friendly. So as such I do not thing that learning to make such programing is going to help you much in the job in which you right now. Instead, you can invest your time & energy in some other education which might be immediately fruitful to your work. If you have good relevant experience in production and if you are not an MBA then you may think doing so with specialization in either Operations or in TQM.

Hi Monisha, there are lots of career options under print journalism to choose from. First of all you should decide on which subject you are interested in like social causes, magazine feedback, page 3 news, weather, sports etc. Thereafter you need to work under production house that can train on these. But the best experience is only gained on the job. A short term project can give you at least some idea or knowledge about it.
All the best.
