Qualification and Experience required for MBA
MBA, like other master's programme needs a Bachelor degree, i.e. a four year degree in either business, or other disciplines with experience in organizations and their management.
In today's educational systems, that's all it takes. You usually take the GMAT, but fewer schools require it. Typically your work will assist in earning the degree by providing tuition funding or work flexibility. Many law schools now offer a double JD/MBA program.
so in the first case when you have an honor degree in business, some university may ask you for work experience that you may have gained as an internet or as full time work just fater your honors. even that may be in your own business.
(I am not familiar with an 'honors degree' but that is not a requirement in the US.)
in the second case when you have a degree in other disciplines, any; even my friend had a degree in chemistry and got admitted in university of Wales Institute of Cardiff. As he had a very good experience in marketing and sales for more than ten years. so here you will need strong proof, references and experience letters from your employers to be considered for the MBA.
