Sorry but your rank is too high because above 300 marks are required to get admission for B.Arch in NITs. So, you should try for private colleges.

All the engineering branches are good for job. It is totally your responsibility to clear your interview for getting a job. From my point of view, mechanical, electrical and computer science engineers could get job soon.

There are many students who had secured a seat for themselves after the first cut-off at one of the colleges in a course which might not be their first choice.
Usually, after the second cut off is released, many students cancel their admission to choose a seat in the course and/or college of their choice.
According to UGC guidelines for undergraduate studies, a candidate can be enrolled at only one full-time UG course. Taking enrollment at two different places in two different courses is not allowed.

If you want to take admission into the top 20-25 B-schools, you need to given exams like CAT, CMAT, SNAP, XAT, etc and not ATMA and MAT(as the no. of good colleges are very less). As long as you have at least 50% marks in graduation, you're eligible to appear for all of these exams. https://www.shiksha.com/mba/articles/20-mba-entrance-exams-you-can-take-this-year-blogId-11473 Kindly visit this link for more information about these exams.

Of course, ECE is a good branch!
1. Course structure: mainly deals with circuits and communication.
2. Coding knowledge is required.
3. Telecommunication companies and IT companies are main recruiters. So placements are good.
4. Good scope of higher studies through GATE.
5. Eligible for ESE/IES exam (which covers only 4 streams- civil, mechanical, electrical and ECE)
After considering all of these, ECE is indeed a good branch.

Be it for engineering / medical courses, you need to clear the minimum cutoff as set by the specific college to get admitted in the particular course/branch. So, say if you get 50/200 you may not get ECE / CS in any Mumbai based colleges.
