B.Sc. in Geology is an undergraduate course in science offered across a range of private and government institutes across India. Geology involves the study of solid Earth, rocks, other solid structures, minerals, physical and chemical properties, water resources and the processes and reactions by which their state and properties change. It is essentially Earth Science.
The science of geology is not limited to the study of planet earth alone, it also covers the study of solid surface, structures and properties of celestial bodies (other planets, meteors and satellites).
In the study and analysis of solid earth and other geologic data mentioned above, areas of study such as history of evolution of the earth, presence and distribution of natural resources (minerals, petroleum, natural gas, hydrocarbons etc.), presence and distribution of groundwater, climate change, environmental problems and natural hazards are also covered. The discipline involves a lot of outdoor work, activity, and exploration.
The average course fees in India ranges between INR 10,000 and 30,000. The average annual salary offered to successful postgraduates of the course varies between INR 4 and 5 lakhs. Regards.

Anything is achievable if you are determined to achieve it. Since you know your target (360+), make a comprehensive study plan. Failing to plan is planning to fail. Devote some time to know your strengths and weaknesses. Prepare a detailed/comprehensive chart for each and every subject consisting of syllabus and mention your expertise in each and every topic. Identify the gaps. Identify your strong holds. Look for the topics you need to concentrate more on. And then assign "# of days" to each and every topic for each and every subject. Also mention what all books, and curriculum you would be studying from. Talk to your friends, teachers, and seniors (1-2 year seniors who are now studying in BITS) and understand best study material to read and refer to. At least when I was studying, I used to take NCERT books as a golden reference. NCERT books were must read and practice for me. This ensures your preparations for board exams are also going on side by side. Practice makes a man perfect. Evaluate yourself continuously. This can be weekly, fortnightly, or monthly. Make sure you take some tests from the chapters you have covered (during that week, fortnight, month) to understand if you preparations are up-to mark. This would help you check if your mode of preparation is correct and if you are able to see your hard-work translate into good score. Quality of study matters more than Quantity of study. Having said this, in order for you to cover entire syllabus of 11th and 12th, you would need to dedicate good amount of time. This doesn't mean sitting in front of a book with closed mind. Whenever you read, concentrate and be attentive. Revision. While making a comprehensive plan, do leave some time (15-20 days. But depends upon you) to revise through the entire curriculum at the end. In addition of continuous evaluations, its always recommended to take 10-12 complete mock tests before actual exam. How you perform collectively in all the topics and subjects in one go matters the most. You should be able to quickly switch context from one subject to another while moving from one section to another. Speed and accuracy also matters. God help those who help themselves.
