Intonation is the way your voice rises or fall when you speak English. Yes it is of concern when you speak in English because it is a dominant language and while speaking English the variance in the tone changes the meaning of the sentence more than it is in other languages, as they say. Vocal English also either gives more emphasis or sometimes removes entire emphasis from the subject matter narrated in the sentence. Intonation is therefore of more concern in English language.
