As SMU is a UGC approved University, you will anyhow not face problem applying to government jobs. However, advisable would be that you opt for a regular programme as this will be of more value.

In order to pursue Phd in US, you need to first make a list of the universities that you aspire for, then send emails to respective course department, asking them to provide you the eligibility criteria and selection procedure for PHD students.

Hi Santushti,
To become a teacher of Secondary classes you need to have B.Ed without which you can not plan for teaching, so B.Com would not be enough you need to get B.Ed degree. However, if you want to take private tuitions in that case yes you can do that with your B.Com degree.
Although, it would be advisable to do M.Com through regular mode as it will have more market value than a correspondence programme. However, if you want to go for a correspondence programme few of the institutes which you can consider are: Annamalai University, IGNOU, Delhi University, Andhra University, Jamia Millia Islamia, Osmania University etc.

Hi Sameer,
In order to pursue MS in US you need to have:
Good academic background throughout preferably 60%.
Relevant undergraduate degree from recognized university.
GRE score of 1200 plus.
TOEFL score of 80-90 plus.
Universities in US have 2 admission intake Fall (August) and Spring (January) intake, so first of all you need to decide which intake you want admission, then shortlist the universities which offers course of your interest and than accordingly start your application process at least 7-8 months prior to the application deadline.
