1) No Bsc IT isn't same as BCA => What is BCA
Bachelor of Computer Applications or BCA is a three year degree course taught in several institutes and universities across India. A typical BCA course deals with software design and data base management and working with multiple data in the computer. BCA deals with subjects like C, C languages, Data Base Management, Logical Analysis, Operating Systems, Software Engineering and Client Server Technology.
Scope: A BCA program is the first important step for higher studies especially MCA. It prepares a student for IT and other professions either directly related or after higher studies. BCA provides a student with the much needed exposure of Computer Language applications and prepares a student for a Masters program in Computer Applications (MCA).
Job Prospects: BCA gives a student with a solid platform to further his career in the field of technology but it is strongly recommended that a student should opt for MCA to further his prospects in this competitive world. BCA is a good course but it is simply a bachelor's level degree and not much importance is given by both private and government organizations especially when compared to a B.Tech course. Therefore one should join MCA after BCA which will improve a student's prospects immensely and companies also attach the same weightage as a B.Tech degree holder.
What is BscIT
A Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, (abbreviated BSIT or B.Sc IT), is a bachelor's degree awarded for the completion of an information technology.
A Bachelor of Science in Information Technology degree program typically lasts three to four years. This degree is primarily focused on subjects such as software, databases, and networking. In general computer science degrees tend to focus on the mathematical and theoretical foundations of computing rather than emphasizing specific technologies. The degree is a Bachelor of Science degree with institutions conferring degrees in the fields of information technology and related fields. This degree is awarded for completing a program of study in the field of software development, software testing, software engineering, web design, databases, programming, computer networking and computer system.
It deals with practical aspect of computer and have syllabus based on more practical of programming language and less theory and less maths also.

**How to get there-
Class XII (with any subject) followed by graduation in sociology/social work. Graduation followed by Post-graduation (MSW/MA Social Work). Masters in Social Work is a two-year course open to graduates. This is a professional training necessary for social workers.
While the course is open to all graduates candidates from Sociology/Social Work/Psychology background get preference. Admission to the postgraduate course is made through a written test and interview. The test assesses mental ability and general awareness and the interview is aimed to identify candidates with genuine interest in social work. Their job overlaps the work of anthropologists, sociologists and psychologists.

There are other institute specific entrances as well in order to pursue M.Tech other than GATE. But, it would be advisable to opt for M.Tech after clearing GATE exam as it opens more doors of esteemed universities such as IITs, NITs, IIITs etc.
