it seems that your marks are very less and you are from general category. You may not get seat in NIT's but if you have written exams for any private universities go for that or there are many private universities or if you are CONFIDENT that you can score good marks in mains drop for an year and prepare for it.All d best

When you want to choose a college - always consider what course you want to pursue and then check which college has a better edge in that course, research how the faculty, placements, overall atmosphere and support for scholarships and student loans are in the College. However for GBS apart from your MAT or CAT score importance is given to your class, x, xii, graduation marks, extra-curricular activities, performance during selection round of the school. etc. A overall score is seen compiling all these.
