BCA is a three year full time course to introduce the concepts of Computer Application
Eligibility: A Candidate applying for the BCA Programme should have passed HSC (10+2) or equivalent examination from any statutory board with minimum 45% of marks in aggregate(40 % in case of SC/ST candidates)
Admissions are based on entrance exam score.

As far as BCA or B.SC CS is concerned, BCA has greater job opportunities as they are introduced to wide range of computing like financial accounting and management, database designing, software engineering network and information system etc. B. Sc degree holders generally prefer to pursue higher education however they can seek for job in IT companies as software testers and software developers.
B.SC CS is a more academic course, and focuses mainly on mathematical and theoretical foundations of computing while BCA is a professional course, designed according to the needs of the IT industry.
