As you are highly experienced in Sales, my personal advice is continue with sales profession.But sales / marketing jobs have its won advantages and this advantages. High Salary Package and Incentives are the main attraction.At the same time, its a profession of high pressure.
HR is some more better job for who would like to lead a peaceful life.Because , target and job pressure may comparatively low. But we can not say that there will not be any target in HR profession. HR people have recruitment target, Training / Induction responsibilities , risk of Payroll Management , Labor Union Issues etc.
If you want to change your profession into HR, you will have to sacrifice. Majority company will not consider your sales experience and you need to start from HR Executive position.
I suggest you to contact your HR Dept. Head and share your decision. You may get a higher position in HR if you can convince him, your aim. .Better do MBA in HR,that will help you to find suitable position in HR.

You should not get too fascinated with ethical hacker as they show in movies. Hackers mean "thieves". No company would hire a thief to steal other company's data as that could land them in serious legal trouble. Most of the institutes provide just a basic fancy course under the name of ethical hacking, just to attract students and earn more.
I would rather recommend you to go for security specialist professionals. These jobs are highly payable and in high demand as most companies need them to protect their own data. These jobs work on the same logic that the best thief can protect the data in the best way.
For the same, you can go to some reputed computer training institutes like NIIT, etc. You can go for Java courses followed by networking courses and CCNA/CCNB (CISCO) courses. After this, you can also opt for CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) certification courses, if you wish to. The cost of these courses varies from institute to institute. You can contact a reputed institute in your city for course and fees details.
Ensure you do these courses alongside a degree course (BCA, B.Tech, B.Sc, etc.) for better outcome.
