In order to pursue PHd, you must hold a masters degree in the same field, take the GMAT and the TOEFL/IELTS test. If you have any research experience, that would be an add on. It would also be recommended that you pursue your masters from the same country where you want to pursue your PHD.

I would say In MCM degree more than percentage what would matter would be your knowledge base and how you use that knowledge which you have earned to get the right kind of job placements. However, you definitely can go for SCJP as these certifications help you in getting growth in your career.
I would also suggest you that you should start applying for jobs as the more practical experience you have easier it is to clear the Java certification examination.

Hi,
Even if you would score 90% in english in your board exams, you would still have to give the IELTS as it is an English proficiency test which is supposed to given by all international applicants. In USA, in some universities, you may not have to give the IELTS but in Canada, it is very much mandatory.
