Navy Officer Job: Educational Qualifications
1st Condition
Applicant for the post of Officer in the Electrical/ Marine Engineering /Architect after 10+2 [(Tech) Cadet Entry] should have passed Class 12th or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with an aggregate of at least 75% in PCM and 50% marks in English either in 10th or 10+2 from a recognized board of school education.
2nd condition
Minimum qualification marks required for applying for the post of Naval Officers (Electrical Branch)/ Marine Engineering/Architect, Indian Navy may change from time to time and the same would be promulgated in the advertisement in leading Newspapers and on this website as and when required.

B.Sc (IT) is a very good course and there are many other courses listed below:
1. MCA (Master of Computer Application)
MCA is the most preferred course after doing B.Sc (IT), you can opt for any stream in MCA whether it is programming and development, database or testing or networking. It depends on you that which stream you want to choose.
All the streams in computer applications have a lot of scope for you to get a very good job.
There are many universities where MCA is running and you can get admission in this course by taking an entrance exam held by the university of your choice. You can also do this course through correspondence if you are doing any job and not having time to do a regular course. I think IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) is the best university in India to do this as a correspondence course.
2. M.Sc (IT):
M.Sc (IT) is also a good course after B.Sc (IT) and this course is also a service providing course. The duration of MCA is 3 years and for doing M.Sc (IT) you have to study for four semesters or 2 years. You can also do this course through correspondence.
3. If you want to do any short-term course after your B.Sc.(IT) then first of all, decide which field you like and then do the course accordingly.
