The probability of finding a job after completing a B.Tech. from NIT Mizoram may be influenced by your academic background. Some say that is possible to get a job at a major company is possible. NIT Mizoram has been offering good placement opportunities to its students. According to the official website of NIT Mizoram, around 78 undergraduate students have been placed in 2023 from branches such as CSE, ECE, EEE, CE, and ME. NIT Mizoram offers a 4 year full fledged B.Tech course in total seven specializations. The total seat intake including all the courses are 210. The seat distribution is as follows:

- The XAT 2026 registration window is now closed for MBA/PGDM courses, and the exam will be held on Jan 4, 2026.
- The GATE 2026 exam for admission to ME/Mtech and PhD courses will be conducted from Feb 7, 2026 to Feb 8, 2026, and then from Feb 14, 2026 to Feb 15, 2026.

The NIT Mizoram University does not take any direct admissions. In order to take admission for any engineering course in NIT Mizoram one has to undergo JEE Mains examination, and has to score a valid ranking according to the cutoff released. All the courses offered at NIT institutions are great. But the flagship course to opt for at NIT is B.Tech in CSE followed by B.Tech in Electronics and Communication and Civil engineering. If one has to compare both the university on the basis of establishment, then NIT kurukshetra is one of the oldly established NITs in 1963, whereas on the other hand NIT Mizoram is one of the newly established NITs in 2010.
