Major disciplines in MBA, you can look for are as follows:
1. Operations: It needs analytical knowledge with fair hands on mathematics.
2. Finance: It needs basic knowledge of accounting and share, equity, credit-debit transactions.
3. Marketing: It deals with the promotion and advertising strategy to convince the target customers for your product.
4. HR: It requires good communication skills to deal with your team. You need to get the best out of your team and keep them motivated.
5. Mass communication: If you are interested in media and mass communication and have good speaking skills.
A good blend of mathematics and finance will be financial engineering, which is in demand and only few B-schools are offering it.
There is no specific stream having highest offerings, in some B-Schools marketing students gets 40-50 lakhs package in other it may be finance student. Marketing has more opportunities of variable pay as compared to others, Finance is always paid more initially and is considered tougher as compared to others.
